Have you ever felt like you were constantly chasing after storms?
Who intentionally chases a storm other than a storm-chaser? You have seen the news reports or documentaries that show meteorologists or storm lovers in their vehicles speeding behind a tornado or flying over a hurricane. And you have thought to yourself…
They must be crazy!
Sometimes it can seem as though we too are chasing after storms also known as chaos in our lives. And they can make us feel as though something is definitely wrong with us. But chaos can also make us feel lonely, unworthy and defeated.
But you know what?
You are not the only one chasing after something unpredictable or unstable.
Yes, it is true that you can be unpredictable and sometimes unstable like a storm.
“Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence?” – Psalm 139:7
But God is also a chaser. He is a soul-chaser.
This means that even when you feel as though you are loosing control of life or yourself to the point there is no ends to the chaos and you are left with no meaning, God is still concerned about you.
So much, that He too is constantly chasing after you. So RELAX. Breathe. And know that it is okay to feel the way you do.
But the good news is that your storms will not last always. Every storm comes to an end. All chaos will eventually fall into the right place. There will be order in your life.
Learn to accept the things you can change and those you can not. And let God handle the rest!
