A few years ago, I published a devotional message entitled, “Resting in Peace” in my Spirit Realm devotional books. Peace is a key element to keeping our minds stable and healthy.
Millions of people struggle daily with so much turmoil that peace of mind is a luxury rather than a necessity. People are constantly in anxiety over the most minor things in life.
Have you experienced what it feels like to be in constant worry, overwhelmed with the fear of the unknown and anxious about tomorrow’s outcome? This state of being causes our bodies and minds to be unhealthy and unable to rest in peace while we are being blessed to breathe God’s oxygen.
“And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:7, NIV).
I have experienced sleepless nights and not wanting morning to come because I was afraid of going through the motions of the day. So I can relate to those that are always over anxious and constantly worrying about things often that we can’t change. We may not have the power to change situations, but we do have the power to control our reactions while going through them.
Every alive person has the ability to truly rest in peace by having peace of mind. This peace is not manifested until our mindset has changed. Our mindset doesn’t change until we allow God to renew our minds and transform our way of thinking.
Today, press to God, praise God and petition God with all your cares and watch God guard your heart and mind. Declare peace in your mind today, because it’s manifestation time!
