“I have a dream” are powerful words that the late Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. branded to nations. On this day, many are taking the time to reflect on his legacy and what it means for us today.
What does Dr. King’s legacy mean for you?
Do you believe in his dream for equality, justice and the freedom to be a visionary? If so, there are many things that you can do today and tomorrow that can make a difference in your life and others.
Community service is a great way to be a part of “the dream”. It allows you the opportunity to make a tangible impact in your local community.
Service can be a continuous action. When you sign up to become a volunteer at your local or regional volunteer center, you make community service a part of your lifestyle and not just a one day project.
Be a dreamer. The footprint you leave in this world is important. Therefore, do not be afraid to take risk that will allow you to live life to the fullest.
What are some goals that you have that you need to revisit? It is never too late to accomplish what you desire.
You want to hear something radical?
My four-year-old toddler has been telling everyone that she is the president. She has said it so much until I started believing her too. Today, she launched her new blog, “Miss Hilari, The People’s President”. Help her dream come true by subscribing to her blog and Facebook page.
Remember, “Faith is taking the first step even when you can’t see the whole staircase” (MLK).
