What’s on you mind right now?
Are you thinking positive or negative about those thoughts?
You might even be dreading this day because you don’t want to face the situations awaiting you. I have a suggestion: Why don’t you embrace FEAR.
Yes. I said embrace it.
Gospel artist, Kirk Franklin, has a song that does just this. Lyrics include:
Hello Fear, Before you sit down there’s something I need to explain, Since you’re here, I think I should tell you since we last talked things have changed. See I’m tired of being broken-hearted. So I made a list and you’re on it. All my hopes and my dreams you took from me I want those back before you leave…”
You have already allowed fear to hold you hostage. You have already been embracing it. But it is time to command it so it will stop dictating your day, your situations and your thoughts.
Jesus said that the devil is “the father of lies and of all that is false”. What is he presenting to you that is not true? How is he exercising deceitfulness to you. You could be worried that you won’t pass an exam today because you failed the last one. You might feel as though that illness is going to take over your life. You might think that you can’t live without your loved one.
These situations might be your reality, but the outcome is not your truth. When new situations arrive in your life, you are so overwhelmed with anxiety about them because the enemy has had a history of building up fear in your past. These are the mind games that the enemy enjoys playing with us.
Oh yes, he just loves testing our mental health!
But you have the power to stand up to him and declare God’s truth about your situations. Do not get discouraged when you have a setback or roadblock. If you are tired of waking up on Mondays and regretting that it is the beginning of another work week, start commanding your day by commanding fear. Take back control of your happiness and expectation of a new day. You can conquer all your fears and start winning in your situations.
Start today by eradicating the false thoughts that the enemy has tried to make you believe. Start thinking positive thoughts. Replace fear with hope. Only work towards winning and do not waste time and energy on negativity.
Now, what’s on your mind? Sing it with me…
“Hello Fear, Never again will I love you
My heart it refuses to be your home
No longer your prisoner
Today I remember
Apart from you is where I belong….Farewell Goodbye!”
