“Then the disciples came to Jesus in private and asked, ‘Why couldn’t we drive it out?’  He replied, ‘Because you have so little faith. I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, Move from here to there, and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you” (Matthew 17:19-21,NIV).

Seed Faith:  We know that it is impossible to please God without faith (Hebrew 11:6) and having any measure of faith includes trusting and believing. When we are believing God to do something in our lives, great or small, it can appear to be risky. This is our five senses at work. But faith steps in and says, “Even if I stumble or fall while doing this, I trust that God will catch me”.

While watching my baby daughter pull up on the coffee table, I thought about how she has progressed during her first nine months. She obviously didn’t come out the womb sitting up, crawling or trying to pull up. She developed a level of trust me and her father. Now when she sees objects of interest, she will try to reach for them, carefully holding on to the table. She will take a few steps, but she stands there because she hasn’t mastered landing yet. After she sees us enter the room, she will let go of the table because she knows we will catch her.

“Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven” (Matthew 18:4).

Spirit Realm Manifestation: Objects on the table become contracts to a deal waiting to be closed, keys to a new home, job promotions, and even a successful surgery. We didn’t enter this world with gigantic faith. We started out as seeds, as babies. and our trust grew with every step, bump and bruise, and learning experience. We have the power to drive out forces hindering us from our visions. We have to be careful not to allow the distractions and possibility of risk keep us from pulling up on the table and to see what God has prepared before us. If we don’t have the faith to reach for it, it will remain on the table. All it takes is seed size faith. And we know that seeds bring a massive amount of fruit. Step out on faith because it’s manifestation time!

Reblogged this on Shulanda J. Hastings and commented:

During my devotional period this morning, I revisited a passage on faith and healing and recalled this blog I wrote in October 2013, that has been published in my second Spirit Realm devotional book. May you be encouraged by it!
