The Day of Foolishness

“The message of the cross is foolish to those who are headed for destruction! But we who are being saved know it is the very power of God. As the Scriptures say, ‘I will destroy the wisdom of the wise and discard the intelligence of the intelligent'” (1 Corinthians 1:18-19, NLT).

The Day of Foolishness: While listening to clergy declare publicly how it is okay for evangelicals to live any lifestyle without consequence and how the Bible is just a collection of stories that no one can live up to, I stated “What foolishness!” Atheists and agnostics have taken these stands; therefore, it would not be unusual to hear such conversations from them. But more and more, I am hearing Christians and leaders compromise the Gospel. When the world is in total resistance and rebellion, this is not the time to compromise or be double-minded in our faith. The world needs to hear the WORD and not the wisdom from those having the ‘gift of gab’.

“Those who are spiritual can evaluate all things, but they themselves cannot be evaluated by others. For, ‘who can know the LORD’s thoughts? Who knows enough to teach him?’ But we understand these things, for we have the mind of Christ” (2:15-16).

Spiritual Manifestation: With all of the advances in technology, the enemy has accepted his loss in intercepting the Gospel being preached and spread abroad. He is now working hard to distort the message. We have to make sure that we are studying God’s Word, showing ourselves approved, and devoting increased time to praise and prayer. God is speaking and we have to have our hearts to His mouth. The foolish talk will continue, but we must allow our conversations “to be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone” (Colossians 4:6). God has already declared that everyone will not understand His language, but it will be revealed to us having the mind of Christ. If you are finding yourself compromising your standards and beliefs, entertaining views you once rejected and working harder to please people more, then you may want to fast and pray quickly before you give completely over to a reprobate mind. Obey God’s instructions and allow the His truth to be manifested. It’s manifestation time!

With Love in the Spirit,
