2012 Theme:  Manifesting GOD’s Greatness!

Greetings:

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,’ declares the LORD” (Isaiah 55:8, NIV).

Thinking Like GOD:   You might consider thinking like GOD to be arrogant or self-righteous, but GOD has created us in His image and requires us to have his mindset (Philippians 2). If we were presented with a blank notebook and asked to write down instances when we made unhealthy decisions based upon our way of thinking, we would probably have to request an additional notebook and writing utensil. Why do we find it difficult to handle situations, people and issues in our lives in the same manner that GOD would? You may have been guilty of making the statement, “I’m not God. I don’t know what He would do.”  The Bible says, “but God has revealed it to us by his Spirit” (1 Cor. 2:10) and “the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you” (John 14:26).  We have the power and the ability to know, receive and activate the thoughts and ways of GOD.

“Let the wicked forsake his way and the evil man his thoughts. Let him turn to the LORD, and he will have mercy on him, and to our God, for he will freely pardon” (Isaiah 55:7).

Spiritual Manifestation:  The only thing that disables us from having the mind of Christ is our sins. Self-examination allows me to confess the times when I allowed sin to hinder me from hearing from God.  I have been guilty of being angry and allowing sin to manifest. I have been guilty of holding unforgiveness and bitterness until it caused me not to praise and glorify God.  I allowed hurt feelings to prompt me to love less.  Not forsaking, not separating myself from wickedness and allowing evil thoughts to rent space in my mind, caused me not to think like God or walk in His way. What is keeping you from knowing the thoughts and ways of God?  If you choose to turn to Him and seek Him while He may be found (55:6), He will freely extend His mercy.  You don’t have to stand in a donation line and receive a blessing from an apostle, bishop, prophet or preacher. Let your notebook be full of testimonies of God’s greatness.   Manifest GOD’s Greatness!
